Perfect for dancers, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a mindful movement practice, this class combines gentle Pilates-based warm-ups with dynamic mobility exercises and static stretching, giving you a full-body reset.

Designed for all flexibility levels, Deep Stretch emphasizes accessibility, safe alignment, and gradual progression. Modifications are offered throughout, ensuring that each participant can benefit fully without strain or risk of injury. No dance experience is required; this class is for anyone ready to improve their range of motion, reduce stiffness, and reconnect with their body.

    • JMU dance majors and any advanced dancers looking to improve range of motion, encourage muscle recovery, and prevent injury

  • Teenagers age 14+ with parental consent are welcome, but please note that most students are adults. Younger dancers and athletes may be considered on a case-by-case basis; please email tara@hburgdancecoop.org with inquiries.

  • Bring: Please bring water and a yoga mat if you have one. Other props, such as cushions or knee pads, yoga blocks, and yoga straps are also encouraged. 

    Attire: Please wear comfortable clothing that doesn’t limit your range of motion. Layers are encouraged!

    Footwear: Bare feet and grippy socks work best for footwear.
