History
Ellie de Waal and Lara Mack met at the Little Grill Collective and soon discovered that each of them had a large heart for dance. They expressed their mutual enthusiasm and need to dance and decided to start meeting up to discuss forming a dance cooperative in Harrisonburg. As they began to do outreach in their networks to find other adult dancers the group started growing. Dance Coop classes began in January 2015 and have since continued to grow, evolve, and build momentum as a group that teaches one another, promotes dance in Harrisonburg, and performs works of art.
