Tara Pollnitz developed a love for classical dance in early childhood, completing graded examinations in the Cecchetti method of classical ballet in primary school and later shifting to performance-oriented training rooted in the Royal Academy of Dance technique. As a teenager, she danced pre-professionally with Tacoma City Ballet and Dance Theater Northwest, with additional training from Capitol City Ballet, Texas Metropolitan Ballet, and the Chamberlain School of Ballet through college. More recently, she continues to take opportunities to learn from dancers and instructors at Ballet Austin, Charlottesville Ballet, and others.
