Julian Manion is a Virginia based movement artist with training in ballet, modern, jazz, musical theater, and improvisation. He began taking classes as a child and danced competitively throughout high school. Julian went on to get his BA of Arts in Dance from James Madison University, where he also minored in theater and studied costume design. During his time at school he had the opportunity to train with DanceWorks Chicago, Eisenhower Dance Detroit, and Lucinda Childs. He also performed in works by Shannon Hummel, Tiffany Carson, and Jess Hendricks. Currently Julian is teaching dance, performing with HDC, and developing independent dance for film work.
