HEIDI PENNINGTON
Heidi L. Pennington is a passionate dance hobbyist with decades of training and performance experience in movement, voice, and acting disciplines. From the national dance competition circuit to college and community theaters, from William and Mary's Pointe Blank dance company to St. Louis' Center of the Creative Arts (COCA), Heidi has pursued her love of dance through training (and sometimes teaching) in styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, modern, and others. Heidi has been dancing with HDC since its inception in 2015 and considers this community as family. In order to ensure longevity in her movement career, Heidi also has training as a barre instructor and advocates that everyone increase their strength and stamina in ways that are low-impact, high-effect, and bring joy through each person's own special movement needs and capacities. When she's not frolicking with her children, or dancing, training, and performing with HDC, she's probably teaching, talking, or writing about literature at that nice university just down the street from the White Box Studio.
