FAQs

What is attire for dance classes? Especially ballet?

Wear whatever you can move and feel good in! If you are inspired to wear a leotard and tights, by all means do! But it is not required for ballet class. No matter which dance technique class you are taking, we recommend you wear clothes that give you a good range of motion and make you feel good. For modern, we do often recommend clothes that cover your arms and legs since we are sometimes working on the floor. Also, in colder months our space can feel a bit cool at first so we recommend wearing layers so you can take some layers off as you warm up.

Do I have to come to class every week during a series?

No! Anyone can sign up for a drop in class and pay for classes one at a time. If you sign up for a full series you are committing to attending every class, to the best of your ability, and paying for all classes at once (and getting a 15% off discount).

Are classes for people under 18?

This is a studio for adults. Unfortunately we only offer classes for people over the age of 18. We will accept students as young as 16 but we need proof of parental consent for anyone under 18.

What's the difference between a series, a drop in, a masterclass, and an intensive?

A drop in means you are signing up for one single class for $18.

A series means you are signing up for a whole session’s worth of classes. These can vary in length, but each session length is posted on the website. This coming spring session 2024 is 12 weeks long.

Should I create an account on acuity?

You don’t have to but if you do, acuity we’ll save your payment information and you’ll only need to fill out our waiver/agree to our policies one time. Once you’ve created an account it makes the payment and registration process much faster but it is not required.
